+ Light Sabre 1.6: The Coolest Weapon Ever Gets An Update!

08 August 2008

Light Sabre v1.62
The Coolest Weapon Ever Gets An Update

Light Sabre

Light Sabre is applications without real purpose but it's still cool as it allows you to use your Nokia N95 as a Light Sabre with a pretty impressive sound effects.

Application actually uses the Nokia N95 Accelerometer Plug-in package to hook into the accelerometer and transfer the movement into cool sound effects.

Although application itself is pretty well known to be stable and bug free (as far as I know) and generally works very well, Graham continues to release updates that offer enhancements and bug fixes to further improve the overall user experience and make it even easier to use.

Maybe it provides very little compelling reason to upgrade but if you use it and if you like why not update it? New version brings some new featuers like two channel audio mixing (Humm & Vrumm) and tweaked auto hit detection to be more sensitive.

Here is the complete list of the new features:

  • Two channel audio mixing. (Humm & Vrumm ™ )
  • Should be more stable.
  • Tweaked auto hit detection to be more sensitive.
  • minor bug fixes.
  • Vibration off by default

Please ensure you have the N95 Acceleromter sis file installed. Also ensure you install on phone memory and NOT on the memory card

Some people are having problems with installation and certificates. If you have a problem Go to Applications -> App mgr - > Options -> Settings -> Software Installation: Select ‘All
