First of all, before inserting the MMC card in the reader (which is attached to a PC running Windows, I assume), make sure you disable the autorun feature for all removable drives. There are SymbOS malware programs (like CardTrap) which drop PC-specific malware on the MMC card - malware that could run on the PC when the card is accessible to it. If you don't know how to disable autorun, google for it.

Next, insert the card in the reader - it should appear as a drive to your PC. Scan that drive with an anti-virus program that can detect reliably all files dropped by the virus and delete them. Alternatively, you can delete the files by hand - but, for that, you have to identify the virus exactly (family, variant), so that I could tell you the full paths of all the files that need to be deleted.

yes scan the card, in fact, if you have a decent anti virus installed on your pc, you wouldnt even need to scan, as soon as you insert the infected card to the card reader, the nod32 would autamatically delete the threats before it even warns you about them ;)

hmm, strange issue indeed :hmm:

have you other card to put in for test, to make sure it isnt the card reader :?:
also, what card is it ecatly.. which phone is it from :?:
you could try it in safe mode. but i fear that it is the old MMC big card, which are prone to just die on you  i have a whole pile of them here in my work shop, all dead, i put in the reader, pc hang and card get very hot
