Hi there,

Just a question.......is Nokia ancient now & are the days of Nokia over?

Symbian was & is a great OS but is over now, plus Nokias hardware isn't as great as the newer andrioids, smart phones.

After N8, E7 Nokia hasn't manufactured a comparable phone??

Your thoughts please.

well, seems like that nokia 808 pureview is son of n8 but i don't believe that there will be any sons any more...
so, seems like 808 is last one, unless nokia make some symbian device again (to earn some attention)
however, seems like jolla will be fine company :)
i only hope it will not be so expensive :D

jolla is new company that will continue to work on devices like n900 and n9, it's formed from ex nokia workers and it will try to work on opensource software...
about symbian...i think nokia should continue to use symbian to make money, because windows phone is not getting them any...seems like...
btw, what do you mean "symbian version of n8 belle"?

aaah, it's Symbian^3
history: s60v1.7 > s60v2 > s60v3 > s60v5 a.k.a. Symbian^1 > Symbian^3
belle is last version of symbian (final as they announced 3 years ago)
it's my pleasure Yan ;) :)

I read somewhre that Nokia in 1998 teamed up with ercession , motorola and some other company and created symbian os . bcs nokia felt if they use Microsoft windows ce os for their mobile they will become just a commodity or OEM and nothing else . there won't be room for innovation.

now after 12 years they suddenly feel all their os were burning and only their option left is use Microsoft mobile os and become a OEM

then Nokia why u wasted so many years , billions of money on research and development .

it's a perfect example of how history repeat itself...:.

It seems like NOKIA have lost the marked!
After 13 years of only using nokia..
I have to much trouble with my N8.

Buying a new phone, and it seems like the new phone will be Samsung sIII .

To bad for nokia :(

I unfortunately broke my HTC last week and have been Using my old trusty N95 till i get it fixed, best thing that has ever happened, really did make me realise how good this old dog was! I urge everyone to break their phones and resort back to your old Nokias!
