SHUTDOWN SPLASHSCREEN

put the png image you want to use in:
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon
and rename it 'startup_nokia_logo'
then reboot phone

make a backup of the original file from that location first
and keep it safe incase you ever want the original back




not sure why it still shows the old image when booting up, but this works for shutdown, hopefully someone can help with that

CHANGE STATUS AREA BATTERY ICON COLOUR

CHANGE OFFLINE/ONLINE NOTIFICATION SOUNDS

when phone first loads and connects, or when switching to online mode, the phone plays a quiet beep sound,
i changed that to 'welcome - to the real world' (morpheous from the matrix)

and a new offline sound, plays when going offline, 'command functions are offline' (from star trek i think!)

download and unzip from the link below:

RENAMING MENU ITEMS

go to /usr/share/applications/hildon/
change the text after 'Name=' to what ever you want
i was hoping to remove the text from the menu but if i delete the name and leave it blank it always shows 'Project-Id-Versio' instead of showing no text, cant seem to figure that one out, but im just a maemo-n00b! hoping someone else can find a solution to totally removing the text from the first menu screen
