TORN BETWEEN HTC DESIRE AND SAMSUNG GALAXY S

Hello Gurus, I'm from the Philippines and am planning to buy an Android powered smartphone this week. But am torn between HTC Desire and Samsung Galaxy S. I've read a number of reviews on both phones and both phones, based on the reviews are nice and good. I know there are a lot of experts here who can help me decide on which phone would I buy. Thanks.

As HTC user, i would recommand you to get a htc, it is powerfull and very good device, and their products are high quality.
While samsung is just not what should i consider as quality.
Samsung is more like cheep plactic.
If i would had to choose between this two devices, i would pick desire without any doubts..., but what do you think about other devices?
Omnia i8910 is very nice device, tytn II is great wm7 device, n900 too, n97... yes, they are windows mobile, symbian or maemo OS equiped devices but still smartphones...
I saw somewhere fake n97 with android on it maybe that would be good device

I own both, so if you let me know what experiences are important to you in your next phone I can tell you which will suit you better.

For my use the Galaxy S is the better handset, but your priorities may be different...

My apologies for inquiring about non-symbian phones here but as the page suggests "Let us help you decide on your next phone" I just thought I can inquire from some phone experts here even on non-symbian phones because it was not posted that it is exclusively for symbian.
