Nokia Public Transport for Symbian v2.0

This is new version supports Symbian S60 5th (Symbian^1) and Symbian^3 (preAnna and Anna firmwares) phones.

What's new in this version?
We have many new features:

1. Line information: all the intermediate stops in your journey.
2. Journey details with visual improvements: specific brand icons, colours and more.
3. New Stations Nearby with renewed Departures.
4. Walking navigation with the help of Nokia Maps, walk from and to a transport station.
5. Coverage flow at the first time usage. This flow will help the user to understand what type of coverage is supported in the user's detected location.
6. App is localised: the app is now localised in about 50 languages.

Additionally, the app is now supported in many different cities around the globe. For more details on what type of coverage and where it is available, please go to the below section.

Nokia Public Transport 2.0 Beta helps you navigate by public transportation!

- Search for public transport stations/stops, addresses and POIs.
- Choose from multiple routes and follow the list of directions for buses, trams, underground or trains.
- Get earlier/later journeys.
- Have your favourite routes from your current position as a Live tile in the phone Homescreen.
- See on the map how to walk to/from your station.
- Find nearby stations, departure times and even types of transit lines available around your location.
- View detailed line stops and times before you get off.

With time-based information: Atlanta, Auckland, Austin, Baltimore, Barcelona, Berkshire, Berlin & Brandenburg, Boston, Budapest, Chicago, Dallas, Denmark, Denver, Edmonton, Flanders, Halifax, Helsinki, Honolulu, Houston, Las Vegas, London, Miami-Dade county, Minneapolis & Saint Paul, New York City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Sacramento, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, San Diego, Los Angeles, Toronto, Turin, Wellington and Winnipeg.

We also offer worldwide estimated routing information, which uses map data to calculate a heuristic route, based on the likely frequency of lines. Check out the list of cities where estimated routing is available.

What’s new in 2.1?

- All the platforms (S^1 and S^3-all firmwares) have now the same feature set – only difference is Transport Nearby on the map (which is only supported on Belle and newer firmwares).
- Transport Nearby in estimated routing areas.
- Improvements: battery live, start-up time, UI for Transport Nearby page, etc.
- Bug fixing.


What else is new in 2.1 new for S^1?

- Much more coverage: many more timetable cities + simple routing (before only Berlin/Brandenburg).
- Transport Nearby: search for a station around a certain spot and get all the departures from that station.
- Line information: the stops along a line and its frequency.
- Integration of Nokia Maps: walk to or show your destination on the map using Nokia Maps.
- Coverage check: at the first time usage, a coverage check will show information about the supported coverage in the user‘s city. Besides, some legal information will also presented to the user.
- Localization: now supports all languages that are available on Symbian (before only English and German)
- Lots of visual improvements.

Glance and go with intuitive icons
Easily find the next leg of your route at a glance, thanks to simple and intuitive graphical icons for the different modes of transport (e.g. bus, train, subway). Additionally, the new POI icons in the History view (e.g. hotels, restaurants, shops) make it easy for you to identify your destination. Your last stop is just a swipe away

Coverage
Nokia Transport 2.3 for Windows Phone is available in over 550 cities worldwide and our coverage is constantly growing. Transport 2.3 routing provides you with the time in transit, from start to finish including door-to-door guidance from where you are to your final destination.

For cities where public transport schedules are published and available, Nokia Transport provides timetable routing. Timetable routing provides the most accurate routing options using local transit agencies’ schedules. Timetable routing provides you with the total time spent in transit from the start of your journey to the finish, including precise arrival times for each stop along the way as well as any wait times between different legs of your journey. With 109 cities worldwide, most major urban cities that have published and available public transport schedules are supported with timetable routing.
