I have tried it, and can confirm it not working with DosBox
I used a light version of XP.
However these are the problems:
-There is no NT emulator (NT uses a single file: ntldr, no .bat or .sys or like that)
-The processor architecture is not compatible (XP is only on x86, x64 and similar)
-No device has a constant 64Mb RAM (Decreases on Symbian, but Maemo has constant 256Mb, but doesnt really count in this case..)
-If it was running, you would be running slowly like if it was The Matrix in slow-mo. (There is no frameskip in XP)
-DosBox is made for DOS only, nothing else.
No ideas for signature again :)

No i dont think it is possible to run xp or any newer system on symbian devices.
I think your friend is using win98 with xp theme (or even win3.11 with xp-look-alike system [cant figure that packages name out now, can be found in some else topic over here])

Only thing what could make it possible is to make whole system from begin and forgot symbian all way.. But that is so hard to get to work so i wont believe it could work..

But ofcourse i can be wrong.

Number 1: STOP POSTING IN CAPS! It's like shouting.
Number 2, he has probably skinned his phone to look a lot like XP
