Demo Of Hardware Accelerated Bounce Boing Voyage On Nokia N900 Looks Freakin Awesome!!
I just came across yet another Nokia N900 walkthrough video but what makes it different from all other hands-on previews that appeared since its official release last week is the eye-catching demo of the Bounce Boing Voyage game that reveals beautiful 3D graphic which takes advantage of the build in 3D hardware graphics acceleration!
The rendering quality offered by a hardware accelerated core and the OMAP chipset is obviously a lot better than through software rendering.
The addition of high-performance hardware, Filtering Modes, MIPMapping and higher resolution textures massively improve the appearance of objects removing the ugly, pixelated blockiness seen in software rendering games on a new Nokia's N-Gage platform. this is possible with OPEN GL ES 1.0 too
there was nothing new ...
the shadows of the trees are maybe stencil shadows (which 1.0 also has) i couldnt see that
maybe they are just decals and not realtime rendered
just the textures are better
i guess the used an multitexture shader (thats maybe the only new thing but even this can be made with 1.0 in other ways
)

OMG!
This phone is better then iphone!
It looks like GameCube graphics!
Nope, i doubt its the same engine, it would be a hell lot of rework, and they can make it better if they program it in Linux.
Linux is good known for memory management, hope Nokia kept that and its good use of the GPU.
If i am going to buy a new phone, this (pwnageomgfr34k1n9) one would be it!
(unless they make an improved one..)
God bless Nokia for pumping up the level of pwnage-phones!
Im speechless of this..

Talking 2002?
Then it would definitively include a racing game named Midtown Madness 2.
What if they make a Windows emlator?
