It depends on whether the handset, could attract enough attention from the developers.

Dah.. its possible to use buttons?
(Multi-buttons..
)
Thats better, so you have a clear sight.
Yup, would be fully possible to make, and even better then iphone one.
N900 does have additional 764Mb RAM over iphone..
Maybe a full port with no lost features too, just put away the touch controls and use keys + some touch.
And if it is as a source said, you can boot another system from the MicroSD card slot, seems like they have used a PC-BIOS there.. (they firstly search in removable media then hdd/memory.)
Maybe possible to run some DOS games that way.
(Ah, good ol' MM2 and Windows 98.. )
I have a good believe in N900.
Its Nokia's detiny to make the best phones..

iphone 3GS does have better graphics chip than n900, they have same CPU and 3D chip supporting OpenGL ES 2.0,
n900 as big advantage of virtual ram, aswell as its 256mb of ram what both have

The iPhone is very powerful in terms of graphics.
I don't think we'll see some kind of games on Nokia phone in the next months.
Simply because Nokia don't think games are a priority.
On a phone like the N97 we have games that I was playing on my 6230.
What a shame.
