Hi All,
Couldn't find anything on this.
But is there a DS emulator for s60 v5?
Is it even possible, would be cool to play DS games on 5800/N97 etc

Also s60v5 is still new platform and there isnt much developers (but i dont think there will be much of them except some for samsung devices) .
Its possible to make something like that ,but it will be waste of time.
5800 and 97 are really slow devices ,maybe omnia hd would get ~10fps.
Look in youtube about DS emulator on PSP its unplayable.

Heh, indeed. The current phones doesn't have enough processing power to properly emulate a DS anyway.

wrong vgba works flawlessly. and no wonder that psp cant handle ds games. its a piece of crap in hardware terms. with a 330 mhz cpu
i8910 would easily play NDS and PSX emu games. but its to hard to code them for symbian.

Nintendo DS is quite hard to emulate, and I don't think there is a stable NDS emu for PC yet.
I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

I doubt there will appear any codder who does this, even if someone does, it would need a lot of optimization, NDS emulator on 1.8 Ghz Pentium 4 doesn't runs very smooth, few things have to be cut off to make it smoother, so i still don't think there is going to be any for phones, at least for now.

maybe ur right. better to try porting n64 emu. has the same graphics like nds. i remember in 2001 i played super mario 64 on my 166 mhz pentium 1mmx with 48 megs ram without problems. well without sound. with sound enabled it was totally slow.

The Main reason I'm asking is that I like some of the RPG games on DS, but there are not many good ones that I know of for symbian any suggestions would be great
