How to backup savegames?
For example Colin McRae Rally 04 or Townsmen. I just want to format phone, then install these games and copy or owerwrite some files with those backuped savegames. Or should I ask: Is there file that contain savegame info and can be copied to PC and then later on, after format, put in cell phone again? If this is necessary, I own N6630.

Hi,
There is no unique way to backup ngage games because every different games use different ways to store result.
Usually all the games store game info in the games folder E:\system\apps\Xxxx\ so the best way is to backup entire fodder to your PC.
But also I have some experience that some games (Tomb raider, etc) live some data in the phone mem, so u also need to search (use find) trough phone mem and chk out is the some game data exist.
Also u can try to use ?Date trick?. How!?
First u need to change your phone date to some future date, for example set to 15.02.2006.
Restart phone,
Run game, save some levels data and exit
Run some 3rd file manager like system explorer and search for (use find command) all files which is modified on that date, u will probably find file which contains saved data.
Sorry for maybe confused answer but I?m in hurry so?
Hope this help

I believe that he is no refering to N-Gage games...
Well, some games keep their save data on c:\system\apps\. But those are only .sis games.
For example, Stunt Car Extreme keeps save data in c:\system\apps\sce\Savedata.dat
But I really don't know for the J2ME games.
