just to ccheck with ya, do i have to copy the startup.mif to c:\resource\apps as well?

you can try it mate, i have it there but im sure the mif and mbm should work independent of each other, but i could be wrong!

(ive also got domainsrv running and c2z4bin but dont think there needed for startup animation)

you are right bro, startup animation does not need c2z4bin, cos my startup tone works, so i believe it is only the .txt giving the command for the 2 thingy to work...

tried what u said leetut. deleted the sound file, also tried turning off the warning tones. all in vain though. its still the same (animation playing for 4-5 secs only). i even tried down-sampling the "sound" file from 128 to 96/64/48kbps, without success.

any other ideas bro? is ur 97 playing the full animation?

also bro can u post a screenshot of which line to actually change in the "show open apps" text. i have been going around in circles without getting anywhere with that particular mod.
