Downgrade N8 with Phoenix !! Tested Successfully

i had same error yesterday when i renamed rm-626 and opened that product....but on xp

as far as i know, this DP error has something to do with installing phoenix as ADMINISTRATOR on Win Vista and Win 7. what windows do you have??

also firmware for N8 has to be saved into C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\RM-596\

on xp and sometimes this DP error pop up.

so that's why i was asking on win version if he has XP, i'll have another possible errors (related to file naming - seems like bug of cracked phoenix)

in vista and after vista, if app not runned in admin privileges, it don't have access to: !:\program files\; !:\windows\; !:\programdata..... So, it is error that is caused only if application can't find files for specified product.

not a pro at this flashing thingy. Only started doing it last month. But i think you are right on "bug of beep phoenix".
after 2 bricked and countless error, i use jaf for flashing now.

I tried to flash my N8 with Belle but it bricked my phone... Then I just downgraded to this version. Now its working fine....

i have tried it too, several times, for several N8 phones, just to test. really working fine. but never really needed this
