BEWARE! Nokia is watching. Got a friend in Connecticut, works for NokBossUSA in high places. Sent her email last night requesting a couple refurbished N95-1's and N95-2's to borrow for someone to do this hack testing, but this morning, she got to work, was greeted with lawyers and copies of our emails, suspension! VERY senior member, shocked that they keep eyes on the forum and they watch internal communication so close. She may be fired, though doubt it. She's high level exec. (most know who I mean)
Sounds like we're up to something, and Nokia is taking N95 platform security very serious. May want to keep threads private to an extent until we get this solution down. Otherwise they have a leg up on a way to fix the hack. Let's be more discrete.

I'll think they are only intrested how far we can go like this, so they can fix most of the holes to the next update.. If they are watching us :)
So keep the topic on, we can do anything with our n95s.. like give a 10kg hammer on it if we like x)

this attack is known as symbaali and it has been out there on the scene for a few months (if not even over a year yet) nokia has fixed it on FP1 phones with the likes of n95 and n81 - how could they not? it poses an extreme vulnerability for the n-gage platform security ;)

Hola FCA00000, you did it again!

Just a brief note, do you know you can poke memory directly from Python for S60?
Maybe you can use it with your hack.

Gracias tio! - Thanks dude!

Has to be Teo's descision, I expect Nokia would also contact him if they want this thread remove.

Hope your friend is OK, sounds serious. :?
As far as i am aware though nobody in this thread has done anything wrong, as our phones belong to us, not Nokia and afaik theres no terms and conditions you agree to that say you can't do what you like with the phone as long as it doesnt infringe copyright/ break laws etc. and i cant see that this thread does that, so from my PoV the thread shouldn't be removed.

 I can't believe neither one ever had an inkling that form of communicate might be risky(especially for her).

It is common knowledge that company assigned emails acct are not one's own, the employer actually has the right to scrutinize/monitor them at will.

So, if what you say is true, I feel for her.

The lesson here is if one doesn't wish certain contents to be shared with their employer always, use a private acct(not own by the employer)

I say just the opposite.

This openness sends a clear message to Nokia that us devoted user really don't approve of their current change of business strategy(locking the whole system up). Once one has paid for a product, it's their's and no longer the producers'.
