[HELP] to hack Nokia C5-00
Various resources for Symbian users such as patches, tutorials, modding, etc.

I want to hack my nokia c5. I used helloOX2 and signed it. But after installation when I open it, it says "mapping drive" then "unpacking files" then it continuous to show that msg. I mailed HelloOX2 support and the said my phone is not supported.
So tried installing ROMPatcher but it says "requested application access not granted". Same goes for FExplorer or opLogo changer.
I dont think my signing cert has problems, cuz if it was, it would show "certificate error" or "constrained by certificate". but it doesn't.
Please someone give me solution.
Apparently other c5 users are having the exact same problem.

Thanks, but I don't want to flash right now. Maybe I should wait for a newer version of HelloOX2.
BTW is it released yet? Some1 from another topic said a 2.04 beta is released, but the hello site has no info about it.

The latest Nokia firmwares (such as all firmware for C5-00) are UNHACKABLE using the usual HelloOX way. There will be NO MORE helloOX for these phones, only possible way to hack it is flashing. Believe me, it isn't a big deal, I was feeling the same thing when I first came to this topic about flashing and it's dangers! But now, I had days when I've flashed my phone at least 30 times!
So don't worry, take your time, and a sandwich, read the Firmware Modding thread here, and read the pinned topic about flashing. Read it a few times until you understand all steps, then look for a hacked C5-00 firmware. If there is no such thing, grab your firmware with navifirm, or use blue-nokia, then edit your ROFS2 or ROFS3. There is a topic with mods and stuff, you will only need the ROMPatcher+ mod (with the starter rsc file, what makes RP+ run automatically, but you will need to edit the RSC file of your phone, it is in ROFS2! Just replace an entry (mostly Welcome2.exe) with rompatcher's exe, and you are done!), create your own firmware, then flash it. If it does not work, try again, modify the firm, not just reflash. And also, a sidenote: ALWAYS BACK UP THE ORIGINAL FILES. I'm not joking, you will need them a lot of times!
Good luck with it and your C5!

1st. Welcome to the forum bro. Hope you enjoy your stay here.
and, like fonix232 said. Take your time to read the tutorial. Once you understand it, there's no turning back. Especially if you got your own CFW ready to go.
