Have I got this right? X-plore from lonelycatgames.com is the must-have utility?
The reason I ask is that their website keeps crashing my phone! (the reason I'm getting the app is to try and get access to the files causing the problems I am having with an install of Opera Mini - if I can figure out what and where the files are that is!)
p.s. doesn't help that the phone says "Application is uintrusted and may be harmful to your phone" - at this point in time my phone hasn't figured out that the greatest threat to its continued existence is ME!!

A-plore is a good file manager but you can also test FExplorer, it has some more benefits that Xplore don't have.
Unfortunately LCG has stopped their develpoment for Symbian phones.

Thanks Setter, I'll have a hunt for it. Where is it hosted?
BTW, as you seem to be key to Symbian-freak.com I've just had a warning message generarated by Google/Firefox that it's become an "attck site". Maybe someone should check out what's up? I've clicked on "this isn't an attack site" but the process doesn't really seem interested. It just delivered me here: http://www.stopbadware.org/firefox?hl=e ... p%3D646394
Anyway FWIW
p.s. you meant to write X-plore, right?
p.s.s. The site's http://www.gosymbian.com/FE_download.html but it says it's only for 1st and 2nd Editions and the N97 Mini is a 5th Ed. Not surprised the Symbian community is giving up the ghost. The Nokia site doesn't even provide details of discontinued phones anymore. They have erased their past and us with it!

You can find FExplore at Ovi store http://store.ovi.com/content/18904
Okey about the warning, we have had some this week but there is no problem, every cjeck says the website is OK but we are checking it.

My problems seem to be growing. I explored a bit in X-plore, didn't do anything, just looked around. Then I went to download using Opera Mobile on the softonics site and got an error saying connection wasn't possible!! Switched the phone off and back-on and it worked. Had the similar problem getting Maps to work. Any ideas how I can clean any of this up Setter? Xplore doesn't seem to have anything in it that's going to help.
I've downloaded Fexplorer but it saved to "Documents" and when I try to open it I get the Zip Manager but no "Documents" folder. I seem to be wriggling in a net and just getting tied in tighter knots!

i am here, trying to guess what's topic
harmful content, we have it very often
my opinion would be c:\system\
there's something that is making issues maybe something corrupted...worse scenario here is format...
i would do:
extract opera mini contents, and manualy place them in c:
then to try to run it...
if is hacked, if not...huh do backup of messages, contacts and calendar...then do format...and that SHOULD help
maybe it is mass memory who's causing issues...

Why you linking the sites which force you to install third party downloaders?

Oops, my fault, I didn't check that, I only googled for it. Will try to find another.
