Hi all!
I?m new here and my first question will be if I have virus on my phone...
I have a nokia n80 and the problem is that my phone has popped up a message a few times every day in about a week now. It says, do you want to allow message to be sent. yes or no... And when I press yes, nothing happens.
I don?t remember the exacly message but something like that.
Is that a virus or something?
If I press no, the message pops up a minute later...

thanks!

To date, I haven't received any news that NOKIA N80 is affected by mobile threat.

I would like to ask you if you install any third party application to your phone before? Like a *.SIS(Symbian Installation file) or *.Jar (Java Games/Application) files into your phone?

Again please follow this path:

Go to Menu>Connectivity>Log

Try to look for your recenrt activity in your phone about SMS sending, see if you notice any suspicious SMS message being sent to unknown number. If yes, please let me know then. Preferably, I would like to have a screenshoot from your phone. PM me if possible. :D

Sounds like some Commwarrior variant to me. Did you try any disinfection tools? CalvinStinger should do it I suppose..!

Any network activity will be recorded in your phone LOG unless you have disabled them. Try to check if you have enable your phone LOG?

If possible, try to ZIP all your third party installation file and send them all to

calvin@topplus.com.my.

I will have a check for you then so that I can give you a proper solution to fix your problem. :D

You're welcome, marty3. :)

I think so for this moment ONLY. :) At least, we can see some light from Symbian for their improvement.

Maybe its a SIM service? If you clicked "yes" on confirm SIM actions a similar message will appear... Just a hunch :hmm:

You have given me a clue :) Thanks.

@tha neo,

Please go to check this path:

Menu>Tools>Settings>Security>Confirm SIM services

Please check if you have enabled it? If it's displaying "Yes", try to change to "No" and see if your problem still persists then. Good luck!
