04 February 2008

NeuBoard Touch
Fifth Sittiphol's Project In 'Neu' Series

NeuBoard TouchMy friend Sittiphol Phanvilai just released yet another interesting Neuvex Research Lab project in the "Neu" series of concept applications for the Nokia S60 devices. Neuvex Research Lab is focused on research and developing of the innovative IT solutions and they have released the four projects so far.

NeuPen (Bluetooth Touch Screen for Mobile Phone); Neu360 (Bluetooth Compass for Mobile Phone); NeuScreen (MultiTouch Screen Engine using Nokia N95); NeuTouch (MultiTouch Pad Engine using Nokia N95) and the latest one is the NeuBorad, a an impressive multitouch like user interface for Nokia S60 5th Edition devices, e.g. Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.

NeuBoard Touch is actually concept gallery application that offers a multi touch like manipulating with photos.

It attempting to organize media on a virtual board on the more intuitive way by sorting it on the same way as our brain does, and not in lists, like a computer does. The idea is to avoid the classics hierarchies by taking full advantage of touch based user interface and intensifying the viewing experience on the great high definition screen.

Of course, it is impossible to get the real multi-touch experience on a phones with the resistive screens as they are not capable to process more than one touch point at the same time but this Sittiphol’s application is very, very close to it!

Anyway, here is the video demo and I just hope that he will this concept interface will reach the final stage and hit the masses as soon as possible.
